Canford Renewable Energy Ltd continue to build upon their green energy portfolio after securing planning permission to extend the 6.787MW plant constructed in 2022. Partnering with Solar Southwest Ltd, the extension will generate a further 1.7MW of sustainable energy maximising the current grid connection at their Whites Pit facility. Harnessing this energy source will also benefit the company’s on-site activities including power supply to the newly commissioned hydrogen facility, and by contributing to the everyday power demands further reducing the company’s carbon footprint.
The project comprises c.2600 tier 1 bi-facial Risen modules maximising efficiency, Inverters will be supplied by Huawei and the bespoke mounting system by Solarport, all providing a quality turnkey solution anticipated to be complete and commissioned by Autumn 2025.
